I am very excited that you have stopped by on this journey for efficient living! I feel it is highly required in this fast paced world we live in. And of course, it is only possible with the abundant graces God pours from above!
I am discovering myself, new ways to do things more efficiently, but whatever small things I have been doing that helps me be more efficient, I can’t wait to share with you all! Through this blog site, I am hoping to bless each of you with small, small inspirations, tips and hacks, that God has inspired me.
“No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.” (Luke 8:16)
As for myself, I used to be a very obsessive-compulsive, highly organised, speedy gonzales with a Type A personality, during my childhood and before I had any kids. Well, kids change things a lot, and now though I am still partly the same after 9 kids, I have also learned to let go of certain things and adjust with the flow, yet still maintaining a level of organisation as well as sanity.
And though I “manage everything” according to how I am perceived by others, it is far from the truth, and I am a work in progress! I certainly don’t have everything figured out and have a long way to go. But with God’s grace and inspirations he has given me, things have been relatively under control.
There have certainly been bumps along the road, and sometimes even roller-coaster rides, but overall, I cannot complain. I am not claiming that I have a picture perfect spotless house and the very best behaved kids. I have spotted inverted tiny footprints on my fridge about 5 feet above ground level. I have no clue how those footprints made it at that high level! 😧So yes, crazy things happen in our house too just like any other house. But I have learned to appreciate craziness with a sense of humor. After all, I believe, some craziness is the spice of life!
According to the MW dictionary, the term “efficient” means performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort. I hope to post small tips and hacks that will help make some tasks easier. Sometimes it is little things that make a big difference. Hopefully, it will help free up extra time to do things that matter more to you, and thus to live more intentionally instead of getting caught up in the busy cycle of life. It may be a few extra minutes of quality time with your kids, or extra time to finish off that inspirational or spiritual book, or just simply sitting outside and breathing in some fresh air. Whatever it be, those extra saved minutes and efforts, surely count. I also hope that through starting this blog, I will be able to challenge myself to be more efficient in areas that I need to work on. So it is a win-win situation!
I hope you will join me in my quest for efficient living, while herding my flock of sheep(oops, kids), to free up time to do things that matter most. All with grace from above!
